The RDS is reminiscent of LALO, the Lawn Animal Liberation Organization, which existed in the Hatboro-Horsham area of Pennsylvania between 1989 and 1993. As the legend goes, LALO agents would roam the neighborhoods of the area liberating lawn sheep, wooden geese, and other animals while knocking down the "bent over farmer" ornaments for engaging in this oppressive incarceration. Once the animals had been gathered, they would be placed in a LALO selected reservation, commonly in front of the sign at the high school or on a local baseball field.
